our wedding suppliers - W@W Top 10!!! :)

every year, benz and john of weddings at work sends out a survey to the hundreds (hundreds nga ba?) of b2bs (bride to bes in waw lingo) and h2bs (husband to bes) for them to choose their top 10 suppliers!

i think the nomination took place for more than a couple of weeks. and today, after great anticipation, the W@Wie Top 10 suppliers of the year was announced!!

our wedding suppliers, Clarice, Mimi and Karl, Josiahs and Threelogy made it to the top 10! congratulations to all of you! cheers cheers!!! :)

Veluz and Alex Franco were not eligible for this year's nominations since each one of them has "supplier of the year" under their belt!

For the complete list of the top 10 suppliers, please see link >>> http://www.weddingsatwork.com/news_archive_200610.shtml#top10

as your bride-to-be, im very happy and very proud of you all! :) keep up the good work! more power to all of you!

Congratulations also to the rest of the top 10 suppliers! i know all of you deserve it! knowing the wawies, only the best of the best gets nominated. ;p

Food tripping with my EOS350D :D

went out this afternoon to finally try the famous singapore laksa! my friend Sandra Tan couldn't believe that i havent tried it yet, so she insisted that we try it this weekend. it was really nice of her to go out of her way to show us where we can try good laksa! :)

i was so excited i forgot to take a picture before i started digging in, hence, the not so appetizing shot. hehe

the laksa was good, a combination of curry and coconut milk. i actually liked it, but i dont think i will be eating it often, once a month will be more than enough! hehehe have to watch the diet. :D

we also tried the rojak. i kinda like it especially the one with the dough stick. crunchy! hehe

BUT i think that the highlight of the day is the super yummy ice cream that we had! sandra discovered this ice cream store and she promised us that it was really really good, and she didnt lie. hay heaven!!! :) the store only sells one flavor of ice cream and cake! can you guesss what flavor? CHOCOLATE! yummy tlaga! yum yum. very creamy and very chocolatey! you just have to eat it slowly to savour the taste. anyone who would like to try, please head out to katong plaza. the restaurant's name is Awfully Chocolate! go. now na!

instead of putting the ice cream in a cone or cup, they serve it in a chinese take out box! cute right? i tried getting a good shot, but the ice cream is a bit low. next time will order two scoops. :) naku!

been reading the manual for my camera. taken some shots of my favorite subject (hi philip) but i guess i have a long way to go. i still cant get the shot that i want! huhuhu...

my newest toy! :)

finally!!!!!

finally finally finally! i got my dream toy... my new DSLR! my new canon 350D! :) (okay i know i just got my nikon koolpix not so long ago, but i cant help it... im a wannabe photographer! hihi)

i wanted to get an SLR for as long as i can remember! but i was always thinking of how much it will cost me... but i finally gave in to my urge. i just think that if i dont get it now, when will i get it? i might as well take advantage of the purchasing power that i have now. hehehe

today, i bought my 350D using Philip's credit card! (my card is already maxed out since i was in malaysia for one month and i had to pay for the hotel) the best thing about it is that i bought it for one year installment... so nd masyadong mabigat sa bulsa. :)

i cant wait to try out some shots... right now, still charging the battery. wah! tomorrow ill try to take some pics.

package includes: mem card reader, 2pcs 1gb CF card, 1 batt, 1 lens, 1 tripod, 1 screen protector, and 1 bag

total cost: priceless hihi..

W@W in SG! :)

i just got back from my very first EB... :) and i'm still high from too much F-U-N that i had! i was so enjoying myself that i didnt realize the time, until the aunties and uncles were literally breathing down our necks to make us go away! hehe

i never really liked going to EBs because i dont know what to expect from those things. i fret that i might not enjoy or people wouldnt like me... but when i found out that there was going to be an eb for wawies sg chapter, i didnt think twice! i immediately signed up. hehe and good thing i did! i really enjoyed our 3 hours non-stop kwentuhan session... as in non-stop kwentuhan talaga! it started at starbucks, then continued at the ladies toilet and then ended in the kopitiam at Raffles City. we pretty much covered everything, from wedding dates, wedding suppliers, tips and tricks and a whole lot more.

it was really nice to talk to people who can relate about the hussle and bustle of wedding preps. let's face it, friends/families wouldn't really understand the emotions involved with dealing with your wedding preps until and unless they have been through the emotional rollercoaster themselves... and having these sistahs to talk to was such a breath of fresh air. it was a truly nice and unique experience for me. i hope that there's a next time and hopefully more sg wawies will join! nawies din sana... to share tips and feedbacks. :)

SUKOB in Singapore

finally, i was able to watch Sukob here in Singapore. It showed last Thursday and we fittingly watched it last Saturday at 12 midnight... (para mas maganda ang effect hehe)

it gave us a sense of pride when we found out that a filipino film was going to be shown here in S'pore. and made us prouder when we saw that the people in the movie house were mostly locals... not pinoys but singaporeans. i was expecting that that movie house will be jampacked with pinoys who either want to watch the movie because they miss tagalog movies so much or are there because they just want to diss kris' acting prowess.. (or the lack thereof) :) but i think there were only about 20 of us who were watching.. sayang. i was kinda hoping that there will be a great turn out. oh well...

all i can say about the movie is, sobrang scary! ngiieee... i am not really the superstitious type, but when i watched the movie, well all i can say is, id rather be safe than sorry! grabe.. creepy tlaga... i'll probably have sleepless nights because of that film!

just thinking of the movie already gives me goosebumps! yiiieeee tlaga... i watched most part of the movie with my eyes half closed and my hands covering my ears. Lol
