Wedding Updates

Or lack thereof...

I don't know if I'm just being paranoid, but it seems like I have been doing absolutely nothing for our wedding. Have we really covered everything we need to cover? I doubt it... When I think of all the things that we still need to do, I start getting nervous. But what else can I do?? My very busy coordinator is still busy, as she still doesn't reply to my emails...

Therefore, instead of just doing nothing, I have decided to go to the bridal fair on Saturday. Yes, me... I am going to a bridal fair - a thing that i thought i will never do since I have a coordinator and since I am an overseas bride. But I guess it won't hurt to see what else is out there. To mingle around and to see if I made the right decisions. Who knows? Maybe there will be some good finds too! ;p

I'm going home (phils) on Friday and there is not one schedule alloted for wedding preps (except for the fair). Is this normal??? After this vacation, God knows when I'll be able to go home! Breathe candy breathe.

Sigh... hopefully someday soon, there will be some updates that I can post here.

and P.S no im not becoming a bridezilla. I'm just disappointed. a bit.

Quality in everything we do. :)

Yes, today is my first day with Ernst & Young (aka SGV in the Phils). I was so anxious and excited that I couldn't get a decent sleep last night! I was rolling around in my bed, thinking of things that can go wrong with my first day! hehe praning. :D

I guess my three years with OCS (office of career services) in DLSU finally paid off. All the things I learned during our training days kicked in. :) Everything they told us to do to make a good first impression, I did... For the first time since I came to singapore, I wore a full corporate attire. Yes - blazer, blouse, SKIRT, panty hose and killer shoes. :) I was going to make a good - no GREAT - first impression and darn it if i don't!

Funny thing about this day is that I actually started working! My seat wasn't hot yet when someone came to ask me to do something already! bwahahaha. :) how lucky of me. but it's okay. at least it gave me a chance to get an idea how they do things this early on.

Everybody seemed nice, but I guess, generally that's how you see people on your first day. :) It takes a little bit more time for their sungays to come out. We'll see.. but i guess, wala nang tatalo dun sa kabila. :D

I really hope I do better in this firm. I am really going to try... The fact that I'm willing to try is a good sign already! coz previously, I didnt have the motivation or the will to try and excel. hehe let's see in the next six months.

Til we meet again... :D

Yesterday was my last day in Deloitte and Touche...

Honestly, it was a different feeling... Last year, when I was leaving PwC, it almost broke my heart when I said my farewell to my officemates in our little area... I wanted to cry. I couldnt look the people in their eyes because I knew I was near tears already. Walking away from the office was hard.

But now, I'm actually okay... But i did feel sad saying my farewell to my friends. There are some people that I will truly miss, but since I'll be moving a few blocks away, I can see them almost everyday!

Anyway, just wanted to share my farewell adress:

Hello everybody,
Since this is my last day here in Deloitte, I would like to thank everybody for making my stay here in DT such a memorable one. My only regret is that I didn’t get the chance to meet each and every one of you.
Please do keep in touch. You can email me at or
Again, thank you very much. Will surely miss everybody!
Since I'll still be around, I wont say goodbye but til we meet again. :D
Salamat! (Thank You!)
